SharePoint & Microsoft 365
In short: SHORIQ designs, migrates and builds on SharePoint and Microsoft 365 for UAE organisations — moving legacy on-premises SharePoint (2007–2016) to SharePoint Online, building intranets and document management that people actually use, and turning manual processes into governed M365 apps. The work is delivered by a dedicated SharePoint bench whose engineers have shipped on every version of the platform since 2007, under SHORIQ's engineering standards and a single UAE point of accountability.
Most organisations don’t have a SharePoint problem — they have three. A legacy farm somebody built in 2013 that nobody dares touch. A document “system” that is really a shared drive with opinions. And a licence bill for Microsoft 365 capabilities nobody switched on. We fix all three, in that order of urgency.
Legacy SharePoint modernisation and migration
On-premises SharePoint 2013 and 2016 are past or approaching end of support, and every year a farm ages, the move gets harder — customisations undocumented, workflows orphaned, permissions archaeological. We migrate legacy farms (2007, 2010, 2013, 2016) to SharePoint Online with a method built on hundreds of platform-years of bench experience:
- Farm assessment first: inventory of sites, customisations, workflows, InfoPath forms and permission debt — and an honest call on what should move, what should be rebuilt, and what should be retired.
- Rebuild, don’t lift-and-shift, where it counts: classic workflows and forms are rebuilt on Power Automate and modern lists, not dragged across to break later.
- Cutover without drama: staged migration, content validation counts, and a rollback plan — the ledger-grade discipline we apply everywhere.
Intranets and document management
An intranet succeeds when finding things takes seconds and publishing takes minutes. We build communication sites, hub architectures and document management with real information architecture: metadata over folders, retention and permissions by design, search tuned to how your people actually ask. Bilingual (EN·AR) structures included.
Business process apps on M365
Approvals, requests, inspections, onboarding — the paper and email processes every organisation runs — rebuilt as governed apps on SharePoint, Power Apps and Power Automate, with the environment and DLP governance our custom software practice applies to the Power Platform. You already pay for the licences; we make them earn it.
Integration and custom development
SharePoint Framework (SPFx) web parts, Graph API integrations, connections to ERP and line-of-business systems — engineered, tested and documented to our standards, with QA and maintenance from the same bench that built it.
How this is delivered
Scoped and architected by SHORIQ’s core UAE team; executed with our dedicated SharePoint bench — engineers who have shipped on the platform since 2007; governed by one standard: tests, documentation, runbooks, handover. One contract, one accountable party, fixed-fee sprints with scope in writing before we start.
FAQ
Our SharePoint 2013/2016 is still working. Why move now?
Because the cost of moving only rises — extended support has ended or is ending, security patching stops, and every year adds customisation and permission debt that makes migration slower. A farm assessment tells you the real size of the move before you commit to anything.
Can you migrate our classic workflows and InfoPath forms?
Not as they are — Microsoft has retired those technologies in the modern platform, so we rebuild them on Power Automate and modern forms during migration. That rebuild is usually where the biggest usability gains come from.
Who actually does the work?
Every engagement is scoped, architected and owned by SHORIQ’s core team in the UAE. Execution depth comes from our dedicated SharePoint bench — specialist Microsoft engineers who have worked on every SharePoint version since 2007 — working to SHORIQ’s engineering standards, under one SHORIQ contract.
