Accredited Service Provider (ASP)
In short: an Accredited Service Provider is a company licensed by the UAE Ministry of Finance (accreditation under Ministerial Decision 168 of 2026, which replaced Ministerial Decision 64 of 2025 on 1 October 2026) to transmit e-invoices on the Peppol network and report them to the Federal Tax Authority. Every in-scope business must appoint one — invoices only reach the FTA through an ASP.
Accreditation is a floor, not a ranking: it certifies a provider may operate, meets the technical requirements, and is Peppol-capable. More than 30 providers are accredited, and they differ widely in ERP integration depth, failure handling and pricing models. The accreditation rules are in Ministerial Decision 168 of 2026.
Appointment deadlines arrive before go-live dates — the first (30 October 2026, for businesses with revenue of AED 50m+) precedes wave-1 go-live by two months, which is roughly what the integration work needs. Choosing is a real decision: see how to choose your ASP. Related: Peppol and the 5-corner model · The mandate waves.
