PINT AE
In short: PINT AE is the UAE's national e-invoice format — the UAE localisation of the international Peppol PINT standard, built on UBL 2.1. Every invoice in the UAE's e-invoicing system must conform to it: required fields, UAE-specific tax categories, and validation rules an invoice must pass before it can be transmitted.
PINT (“Peppol INTernational model”) is the base invoice model Peppol maintains so that national versions stay interoperable; AE is the UAE’s profile of it. In practice, PINT AE is a long list of field-level rules: which elements are mandatory, what formats they take (TRNs, dates, currencies), and which VAT treatments map to which codes.
For implementers, the format is where most project time goes — not transmission. Your ERP’s fields must map onto PINT AE’s elements, and documents that fail validation don’t travel. Related: UBL 2.1 · Peppol and the 5-corner model · ASP.
